Dominion Seven: Architecture Firm Website Redesign
Dominion Seven is a Lynchburg, Virginia, architecture firm designing everything from schools and municipal buildings to apartment communities and animal care facilities. We helped refresh their brand and website to better showcase that range of work and make it easier for prospective clients to picture working with them.
What Wasn't Working
The old homepage packed a welcome message, project photos, company branding, and contact links into a tight grid. There was plenty to look at, but limited context to help visitors connect the buildings with their own needs. Elsewhere, lengthy copy and separate pages for the firm's background, history, and values made getting to know the business more work than it needed to be.
Our Approach
We started with a brand refresh, refining the colors and fonts for a more modern and professional look. Larger project imagery and more breathing room give the architecture room to stand out. The overall design feels more considered, while clearer headings and shorter sections make the content easier to explore.
We also gave the homepage a clearer story: who the firm serves, how they collaborate, and what they've created. Five clearly defined areas of work help visitors find relevant experience, with focused introductions and related projects on each page. The animal care page, for example, brings their specialized expertise and completed shelters together. We consolidated the firm's background into the About page and made “Start Your Project” a prominent invitation throughout the site.
The Result
The redesigned website gives Dominion Seven a more polished introduction while keeping their work at the center. Visitors can get a feel for the firm's design capabilities, understand its collaborative approach, and find a clear next step. The refreshed brand, stronger project presentation, and more focused content work together to support conversations about future projects.
